The Indiana Association of School Business Officials is a professional organization founded in 1946 that promotes the school business management profession. Individuals involved in the Association are responsible for the following activities in Indiana’s public schools: finance, accounting, budgeting, auditing, purchasing, maintenance and operations, human resources, facility planning, risk management, cash management, food nutrition, technology, and transportation.
IASBO’s Mission Statement is “The Indiana Association of School Business Officials delivers programs and services to the membership for the purpose of advancing Indiana’s public education.” IASBO meets this mission by developing an extensive professional development program and by advocating for the membership with the Indiana General Assembly and state agencies.
IASBO currently has 1,285 active members representing Indiana’s public school corporations and 105 Business Associate Members who provide products and services to Indiana schools.
IASBO is governed by a 17-member Board of Directors that meets four times a year. The Board sets policy, approves an annual budget, and employs the IASBO staff. IASBO employs an Executive Director, a Director of Professional Development and a Member Services Administrator.
