IASBO FACILITY CONFERENCE – SEPTEMBER 27

Indiana ASBO is pleased to announce that the annual Facility Conference will be held on Wednesday, September 27 at the MSD of Lawrence Township Community Building (6501 Sunnyside Road, Indianapolis, IN 46236).  The IASBO School Operations Research Committee has developed an excellent agenda on current facility/custodial issues.  The program is designed for buildings, grounds and custodial employees.  Twelve clinic sessions will be offered during the day.   The program will also include 30 TABLE TOP EXHIBITS displaying a variety of products and services.  The registration form can be found on the IASBO website (www.indiana-asbo.org).  The agenda for September 27 is as follows:

POSITION OPENINGS

Position:              HVAC Supervisor

Corporation:      Zionsville Community Schools

Zionsville Community Schools is currently accepting application for the HVAC Supervisor position. This position will be responsible for the heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems throughout the district, including BMS Controls software system.  Specific duties will include the direction and maintenance, scheduling, diagnosis, troubleshooting and repair of HVAC and all BMS control systems.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Extensive knowledge of general facility maintenance, with HVAC Universal Certification and experience. Must be safety oriented and have the ability to perform all duties using proper and safe techniques and procedures.  Must have strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, media and HVAC systems.

Education: HS Diploma or GED equivalent required. Post-secondary technical training is strongly preferred.

Experience: 10 years combined experience with general facility maintenance with HVAC and/or BMS system experience required.

Certificate/License: Must possess valid and current Indiana driver’s license and HVAC Universal Certification.

Position:              Payroll & Benefits Assistant

MAJOR FUNCTION:                            Responsible for all preparation of the payroll process and financial accounting for the NISEC staff.

 

REQUIREMENTS:                               A.            Education level – minimum of a high school diploma with course work in bookkeeping, accounting, or business. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or Finance preferred.

  1. At least three years’ experience in accounting, bookkeeping and payroll. School business or payroll preferred.
  2. Proficiency with computer operations. RDS experience preferred.
  3. Ability to perform activities related to payroll and financial accounting with accuracy and noting details.

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:              260 days; hours determined by Board of Managers.  All other working terms and conditions of employment are established by the Board of Managers.
