SY 2018-19 Teacher Appreciation Grant Allocation

SY 2018-19 TEACHER APPRECIATION GRANT ALLOCATION

Chris Kates, Specialist for the DOE Office of Educator Effectiveness, has distributed the following information today regarding Teacher Appreciation Grants:

“The purpose of this memo is to inform local educational agencies that SY 2018-2019 TAG Allocations have been finalized and will be distributed before the statutorily required date of 12.5.18. Regarding distribution, please reference your approved SY 18-19 TAG policy. Proceeds of the Teacher Appreciation Grant may be deposited into the Fund 0100 School General or Fund 3750 Performance Awards using receipt account 3293- Performance Awards. Schools may utilize a portion of the proceeds to cover benefits and taxes. When expending the funds, please use the 10000 expenditure accounts with Object Code 110- Certified Salaries or 131- Stipend.

Please email the Office of Educator Effectiveness TAG@doe.in.gov for general questions concerning the grant or Form9@doe.in.gov for accounting questions.”

Creating Career Pathways for All Students

Governor Eric Holcomb’s Workforce Cabinet and the National Conference of State Legislatures cordially invite you to attend Indiana State Summit: Creating Career Pathways for All Students, sponsored by the Richard M. Fairbanks Foundation.  During this event, you will hear from local, state and international experts on the importance of building a rigorous system of career and technical education, apprenticeships and work-based learning for all students and adult learners. Such a system will better prepare Indiana’s current and future workforce and ensure a strong economy.  Employers, educators, policymakers and economic development organizations are encouraged to attend this important event, and you are encouraged to share this invitation with your colleagues!  The following speakers have been confirmed:
