REPRESENTATIVE TODD HUSTON ELECTED SPEAKER-ELECT

This afternoon, the House Republican caucus elected Representative Todd Huston to the position of Speaker-Elect.  With the upcoming resignation of Speaker Brian Bosma, the position of Speaker-Elect was created to assist in the transition when Speaker Bosma leaves the House.  It is anticipated that at the end of the 2020 session, Speaker Bosma will resign and Representative Huston will be elected to be the next Speaker of the House.  IASBO has worked closely with Representative Huston since he became a member of the House in 2012.  Many of you will remember Representative Huston from his time with Komputrol.  Also, he served four years as a school board member at  the Hamilton Southeastern Schools.  Indiana ASBO congratulates Representative Huston on being elected to this most important legislative position.
