Lisa Tanselle, ISBA General Counsel, provided the following update to IASBO:

Please find the eleventh edition of the ISBA Coronavirus Information and Resources Toolkit [HERE]. This week’s edition includes:

  1. Information on the USDA waiver extension;
  2. Additional mental health resources;
  3. A brief summary of Stage 3 of the Governor’s Back-on-Track plan; and
  4. A few items of interest mentioned in the IDOE webinar this week.

The Governor announced yesterday that he will issue a new Executive Order tomorrow that further defines the elements of Stage 3. Stage 3 will begin for all counties, except Cass, Lake, and Marion Counties, at 12:01AM on May 22, 2020.

Position:       Business Manager
Corporation:  MSD of Steuben County

The primary responsibility of the Business Manager shall be to serve as corporation treasurer, director of business operations, and supervisor of business office staff. In addition, the Business Manager shall have experience in school financial planning, budget preparation, establishment of finance policies, human resource management, and budgetary controls. In this capacity, the Business Manager shall be considered a working position as well as performing supervisory and advisory tasks. The Business Manager shall serve in a staff position and shall report to the superintendent and/or assistant superintendent. 


The Business Manager shall hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Five years of successful experience in school finance and a thorough knowledge of accounting standards and practices are required for this position.
