ISBA CORONAVIRUS RESOURCES UPDATE

Lisa Tanselle, ISBA General Counsel, forwarded this update to IASBO:

Please find the newest edition of the ISBA Coronavirus Information and Resources Toolkit [HERE]. This week’s version includes a summary of the IN-Class Re-Entry Guidance released by the Indiana Department of Education last week.

The IN-Class guidance recommends that school boards adopt a local resolution suspending policies that conflict with statutory waivers or extensions granted by the Governor, state agencies, and the legislature. You may find a sample resolution [HERE].

An archive of all previous FAQs and Resource Guides can be accessed at:https://www.isba-ind.org/coronavirus-resources.html.

Appreciation and acknowledgment is extended to Julie Slavens, Senior Counsel/Director of Policy Services, who authored the sample resolution and to Abigail Spradlin, ISBA Spring Intern, who authored the summary of the IN-Class Re-Entry Guidance.
