The IASBO Certification Program has been a most successful professional development program for the past several years, and 2020-21 classes are resuming this month with a totally VIRTUAL platform!

Indiana ASBO has always been a firm believer in face-to-face meetings allowing for in person networking, however the pandemic has moved us to reconsider how we can provide the Certification courses that the membership depends on while keeping everyone safe.  The IASBO staff believes that a virtual platform will be the best avenue for providing these professional development activities.  With our virtual format, you will no longer need to travel to Indianapolis to attend class.  You can watch the presentations from your office or home. Some of the courses will be live presentations online, but those courses will also be recorded and made available to those members who have registered but could not view it on the day the course was presented.  Currently if you miss a course, it may be two years before the course is offered again.  With the virtual platform, if something comes up at work that prevents you from viewing the live presentation, you will still have the ability to view the class recording and be credited for your attendance.  This will give you the opportunity to complete your Certification requirements in a more timely manner.  IASBO will make the courses available on our website and you will register there.

The cost of each course will be reduced to $90 for a 3-hour course and $180 for a 6-hour course.  The course information will be distributed to the membership in the next few days, and the courses will be placed in the Events Calendar on the IASBO website .  Please contact Laura Mullen, IASBO Coordinator of Professional Development if you have questions on the virtual Certification Program.
